The 7th Annual Charlottesville Cares for Kids Radiothon raised $65,505 for UVA Children’s Miracle Network

On November 4th – 5th, 2021 the Charlottesville Radio Group Stations took to the airwaves to raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network program at UVA Children’s Hospital.  For twelve hours on each day, listeners heard stories from the amazing kids being treated at UVA Children’s Hospital and were asked to support them by calling in to pledge to become a Miracle Maker.  A Miracle Maker is one who commits to donating $12 a month for twelve months.  Those smaller gifts led to a big total – a record $65,505 was raised over the two day event.

The Children’s Miracle Network program at UVA Children’s Hospital supports a broad range of areas from research, to family support programs, to toys and art supplies.  The funds are used at the discretion of the doctors at UVA Children’s Hospital and helps make sure each patient receives the best pediatric health care in Virginia.

The event was made possible thanks to the generosity and commitment of the Charlottesville Radio Group and their sponsors!
