Monte, the other marchers, our great sponsors, and our amazing Springfield listeners raised over $482,090.00 for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts! Monte’s March XIII, where Monte and scores of other folks walked all or part of the 43 mile route from Springfield to Greenfield, is now in the rear view, but we can all be happy and grateful that millions of meals will be available to our friends and neighbors here in the valley who otherwise might have to go without, thanks to the generosity of everyone who marched, worked, and donated.
In keeping with this year’s theme of “Making Moves”, Monte decided that for day 2 of the walk, he would pay homage to somebody who had some pretty incredible moves of his own — Elvis Presley! We have to extend the biggest thank you to Monte and to all of our listeners and community members for helping to make this event such a great success!
