HRG Hosts 4th Annual 12 Hour Event for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree

Harrisonburg, VA – Harrisonburg Radio Group broadcasted for 12 straight hours from the Valley Mall for the 4th year in order to collect donations for Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program. From 6am to 10am, 3 of HRG’s Morning Shows were live from the mall to kickoff the event. Then from 10am-6pm, WSIG took over the broadcast with live hourly check-ins on all the stations encouraging listeners to come out and pick one of the remaining “Angel” tags off the tree. HRG also had shoppers on standby to collect any monetary donations if listeners didn’t want to do the shopping themselves.  The Salvation Army of Harrisonburg was able to make Christmas special for several children in the community with the help of HRG’s listeners’ kind donations.
