SPRINGFIELD, MA – Rock 102 (WAQY-FM) hosted the first annual “Steve Nagle’s Summer Kickoff Party” on June 22, 2024, to benefit Rick’s Place.
Rick’s Place compassionately supports grieving children, teens and their families through facilitated peer activities, school-based programs, and community outreach with the goal to provide a trusting environment in which participants who are grieving the death of a loved one can share their experiences, receive support, and find comfort.
They helped the “Bax & Nagle” host and his family through the loss of his wife some years ago, and because of that, Steve wanted to give back to them by raising money and shining a light on the work they do.
The event featured live music from local performer Jon O’Neill, family friendly activities like coloring, a water balloon toss, yard games, and prize giveaways, with over $5,000 raised and donated to Rick’s Place.
