Lafayette Media Group Inducted Into Riley Children’s Foundation Noble Society

On October 9th, 2024 the Lafayette Media Group was included in the inaugural class of the Riley Children’s Foundation Noble Society.  The Noble Society recognizes individuals and groups who have contributed $1 million or more to Riley Hospital for Children.

Since 2008, K-105 (and joining in 2018 WASK & B102.9) have participated in the Riley Radiothon annually.

Each member of the inaugural class received a stained-glass award, which represents the stained-glass window at the hospital.

The Noble Society is named after the Riley Children’s Foundation’s first patient in 1924, 11-year-old Mark Noble, who at the age of 3 contracted polio.  The disease attacked his legs.  The caregivers at Riley fitted him with leg braces and cared for him.  10 months later he walked out on crutches, and returned home and to school.

The Lafayette Media Group  is very honored to be a part of the inaugural class of the Riley Noble Society and to be recognized for their contributions through their annual radiothon.
