Milwaukee Radio Group recently completed the annual Lend A Helping Ham promotion that runs from the Monday of Thanksgiving through the new year. This year the event ran for an extra week through 1/8/23 to help with all of the wrap up that goes on with the promotion. This was in part due to a $10,000 donation from Meijer, and making sure that was added properly to our final totals.
Lend A Helping Ham is a partner program with Hunger Task Force that takes donations for families in need during the holidays. Most personal donations come from a $15 donation that equals one ham, but some donations are physical hams that get donated directly at Hunger Task Force. The event also has sponsors that contribute a donation to the program. These hams are the centerpiece of food boxes that families in need receive at no cost to them. Most sponsors are attributed internally through Milwaukee Radio Group sales staff or other connections, but this year one of the sponsors came from Hunger Task Force. This was Meijer, who generously revealed their $10,000 matching donation at the completion of the fundraising campaign.
