Saga Communication’s Lafayette Media Group (LMG) radio stations WASK, K-105 (WKOA-FM), and B102-9 (WXXB-FM) held their annual Riley Radiothon at the Tippecanoe Mall on Wednesday, May 20th from 6am-9am; 3pm-6pm & Thursday, May 21st from 6am-9am; 2pm-6pm. The three stations simulcasted the radiothon, playing a mix of country, classic hits, and CHR music. Local Riley families shared their stories on-air and on Facebook Live.
At the conclusion of the radiothon LMG raised $64,575 for Riley Hospital for Children. Melissa Sexton, Community Fundraising Program Officer for Riley Children’s Foundation, knows this radiothon is special. “We know that times are tough financially for many right now,” Sexton said. “However, Lafayette and the surrounding towns always show up to support Riley every year. This is a special group and a special area.”
In October 2024, the Lafayette Media Group was inducted in the inaugural class of the Riley Children’s Foundation Noble Society, which recognizes individuals or groups who have contributed at least $1 million to Riley Hospital for Children.
