Mitchell Radio Group raises over $59K for scholarships in 23rd annual Radiothon

The Mitchell Community Scholarship Fund has announced the results of the 2026 Radiothon Fundraiser.  This year’s Radiothon raised more than $59,000 for the scholarship fund.

To date, the fund has awarded 3,426 scholarships since 2002.  Total dollar amount of the awards is $1,595,300.

The Fund was created and is maintained to provide scholarships for every graduating student in Mitchell who wishes to continue education beyond high school. The Fund assists Mitchell’s graduating seniors attain their goals of continuing educational opportunities.  The Fund has no fiscal relationship with the Mitchell School District or Mitchell Christian School.

This year scholarships of $750 each were awarded to Mitchell High School and Mitchell Christian graduates.  The money can be used toward any type of education beyond high school, including university, technical college, specialty programs like beauty school or certification programs.  Any graduate who applies receives the scholarship and has two years from their high school completion date to claim the award.
